New Babies All Around

Our friends Joshua and Rebecca Townsend just had a little boy. Jacob Daniel was born on Thursday. Poor Rebecca had a pretty rough pregnancy (nausea all 10 months). Yes, I said "10 months". She was induced at 41.5 weeks. But, she's a trooper. He's finally here and we are all thrilled!
Rebecca (proud mama), Jennifer (expecting a little girl June 5th), me, Jacob, and Iris (expecting a little boy June 5th).

Babies, babies, and more babies. Reagan is one of the "big kids" now. How crazy is that?

Reagan in the Kitchen

Reagan is such a ham! Last night, she was singing as she helped me with dinner. She was stirring a spoon in a bowl and going "Ya ya yaaaaaaa ya," so I grabbed the camera. But, she stopped as soon as I started taping her. However, I still thought the video was pretty cute. I hope you enjoy my little munchkin!

There's a cute picture of her singing to BabyAlex on Rebecca Lee's blog too. Click on the Lee Family link on the side to check it out.

The results are in . . .

The polls are officially closed. And, according to the votes of our friends and family, Reagan looks like both of us. The poll was a tie. Jason and I received the same number of votes. And, 2 people don't think that Reagan looks like either of us.

Jason claims that it's not truly a tie because I voted for myself. However, if you'll check out the comments, Jason also cast a vote for himself. He says it was for the OR Staff. Uh huh. Likely story. I reminded him that Rebecca T was unable to cast a vote on her computer (per her comment), so my vote really just represented hers.

All in all, Reagan is adorable and we love her to pieces regardless of who she takes after. I think she's got a some of both of us and we wouldn't want it any other way.

Day of Fun!!

We went to The Wonder Place (click on it -it's a link) on Saturday for the first time. Reagan had a ball!! They had so many activities for kids. She could hardly make up her mind what she wanted to do.

She played with the air chutes that shoot colorful scarves through clear tubes.

She splashed in the water at the water center.

She LOVED the musical intruments! She played the drums, tambourine, and piano(her favorite!).

She played in a kitchen, a diner, and with a little dollhouse.

And, she played in a huge sandbox with her daddy.

We could hardly keep up with her - darting from one activity to the next. We will definitely be going back there again. If you have little ones around here, you should go check it out!

Who does Reagan look like?

We were discussing the fact that we're not sure who Reagan takes after. We get different opinions from everyone.
Does she look like her Daddy?
Jason claims they are twins, especially in their hoodies.

Or, does she look like her Mommy?
I seem to see a resem- blance in our matching aprons that Aunt Holly made. Hmmm, I don't know . . .
What do you think? Vote on the right!

Other New Year's Resolutions

I'm not usually one to think much about resolutions, but this year I decided to make a few. Here they are:

  1. Start a blog - (as earlier stated) I'm doing well so far on this one.
  2. Get organized - I've gone through the guest room closet, the hall closet, and all the clothes in our closet and both dressers. It really feels good to get rid of all that junk that was just taking up space. I made a rule: If we hadn't touched it since we moved in a year and a half ago, then we didn't need it. It was amazing how much stuff that applied to. Yesterday I took 3 trashbags and 7 boxes full of stuff to Goodwill.
  3. Learn how to decorate cakes - I realized that I really like to bake. So, I thought it would be fun to learn how to decorate all these cakes I make. It'll save me money on birthdays and other parties if I can do it myself. And, it really looks like fun. I have signed up for classes up at Hobby Lobby that start next week.
  4. Read the Bible all the way through - (Thanks, Bethany, for inspiring me to strive for this one) This is something I've never done and always wanted to do. What better time to start than the new year?

Now, I'll need some accountablity to stick with all of these things. So, I'm expecting all of you guys to help me out. Ask me about them. Don't let me slack on them.

Here is Reagan and me in the back of Jason's pick-up with all the stuff that went to Goodwill. Once I got there, I found carloads full of stuff and people unloading them everywhere. The Goodwill Donation Center was like Grand Central Station. I realized that I was not the only one who made such a resolution this year.

My New Niece

There is a new member of the Harrell Clan. My sister, Holly, had a baby just before Christmas. Payton Claire was born on December 19th. She was 7lb. 1-1/2oz., and 20-1/4in. long.

Reagan LOVED her! She gave her lots of kisses. She wanted everyone quiet so Payton could rest. She kept saying, "Shhhhhh, baby." She even climbed up in my lap when I was holding Payton and kept patting her and covering her up with a blanket. Aren't they both sweethearts?!

It's me & Reagan with Holly & Payton .

Aren't the little ones cute in their matching outfits?

This is my youngest sister Danielle (a.k.a. Aunt DeeDee) with Payton and a dancing Reagan.

New Year's Resolutions

One of my New Year's resolutions this year is to start a blog and make a true effort to keep it updated for all of our friends and family. I love checking out the blogs of my friends, and I thought I would take a stab at it myself.
So . . . here we are. As you all know, this will probably become a showcase of pictures of my adorable daughter. But, I'm sure you won't mind.

Happy 2008! Check back for future updates!
