Silly Reagan!

Here are a few fun pictures from the last month.
Entertaining in her tutu (pulled up to her armpits like Erkel)!
Crashing at a restaurant - Poor girl was exhausted!
Taking care of Baby
Riding her new "bicycle" - I know that technically it's a tricycle, but she won't call it that. It's a "bicycle," and she enunciates every syllable.
Her first lollipop. She kept saying, "I like it! Yummy!"
And last, but definitely not least, her latest pen escapade. I know she loves them, so I try to keep them hidden. But she managed to find one while I was working on dinner the other night. I came into the room and she's got her shirt up and is drawing away on her stomach with a huge grin on her face. As you can tell in this picture, she's very proud of her artwork!

Playdates!

Reagan is becoming quite the social butterfly! With birthday parties and playdates, she's really getting to spend some time with other kiddos. Which we really need right now. She's getting into the terrible two phase where everything is "Mine!" and she throws some fits when she doesn't get her way. I just have to remind myself that all toddlers go through this. We're really working on sharing and taking turns, so it's been good for her to practice with other little ones her age.

She had a playdate with Caroline last week. Just a few little squabbles - mainly Reagan's doing, but I think they had fun. She and Caroline have been pals since they were born. We introduced Caroline to "Hairspray". The two of them danced all over the place!

Then, they helped Elizabeth with the laundry. They had an assembly line going transferring stuff from the washer to the dryer. What fun!!

Today, she had a playdate with Happy. Happy's mom, Grace, and I are gym buddies. Grace made rice, miso soup, and steamed fish for us for lunch. Reagan loved it! We had a great time.

The girls playing "jump rope". They each hold on to one end of the rope and jump up and down. Whatever works!

Groom's Cake

Here is my first big cake project. I did a groom's cake for a wedding this weekend. The groom plays the piano and flies planes. The model plane on the cake is of the first plane he ever flew. It's a 16" x 16" double layer cake. So, it's pretty big. This took me the better part of 2 days, but I think it turned out well. I'm still learning. But, overall, I was pleased with the final product. Oh, and those are candy rocks on top as well.

Birthday Parties!

Two of Reagan's little friends had birthdays this month, so Reagan had the chance to go to 2 birthday parties this past week. Last Saturday was Katie Jo's third birthday party. It was at Pump It Up, which is one of those places with all the inflatable jumping things. Reagan wasn't too keen on trying it at first, but with a little assistance from some friends, we got her in there, and she loved it. Thanks Patrick & Elizabeth!

"Hmmmm, do I want to go in there?"
Jumping with Elizabeth "I like parties!!"

Today was Samantha's third birthday. She had a Dinosaur Party. There was a Dino Egg Hunt, a Dino Dig, a Dino Pool, etc. Reagan had lots of fun. Daddy was even off today, so he got to go with us. She loved playing with her Daddy!

Party time! Jason is blowing one at her from the corner. "I'm not scared of you, dinosaur!"
Showing Mommy the dino eggs she found
As we were leaving she kept saying, "Party again! Party again!"

Reagan's going to have a little . . .

Here are some pics of Baby Ramsey! If you look at the arrow, it's pretty hard to miss the gender.Check out that precious profile! She - yes, she - was moving so much, we had a hard time getting a good 4D shot. These were the best ones we could find. She had her little arms in front of her face or was turning around in most of the others. She's still moving so her arms look scary, but I like the profile and face shots. I think the first one looks a bit like Reagan's profile.

Look at those little feet and toes!
Our big ultrasound was scheduled for this past Monday, but we had to reschedule it since we made an unexpected trip to Texas. However, Jason's wonderful sister, Kathy, took care of us. She's a nurse practitioner with some OB/GYNs, and she had the imaging people squeeze us in on Tuesday. Thanks, Kathy!! I have my ultrasound here this coming Monday, so we'll get to see the little one again soon.

Texas Trip

Hi, all! Sorry to go so long without blogging. That's not like me. But, we've been out of town for the past week. We just got home today from a whirlwind trip. In fact, Jason was changing into scrubs and running out the door to the hospital within minutes of our arrival this afternoon.

Reagan and I went to Dallas this weekend to see my family. My parents, my sister Danielle (AKA Aunt DeeDee), my sister Holly and her daughter Payton, and Reagan and I all drove in from different directions to spend a few days catching up. We did some shopping and some swimming, but mainly just hung out at the hotel and visited. Reagan had a ball with Payton. She loved entertaining her and taking care of her.

"We're ready to hit the water!"
Nana got the girls matching pjs, but we couldn't get Reagan still enough for a picture. As Reagan tried to dart away, this was the best we could do. At the end of the weekend, I learned that Jason's dad wasn't doing very well. So, we decided for Reagan and I to drive on into Lubbock (we were halfway there), and then Jason flew in a day later. We were able to see his father, and Jason was able to really talk with his family so they could make decisions about his care. Reagan got to see her Gammy & Gampy, which she was really excited about. She kept asking about Gampy - where he was, if he was coming, etc. When she did get to see him at the hospital, he was really alert. Reagan was a little nervous with all the machines and tubes. She kept saying, "I scared." Gammy said, "Reagan came to see you, wanna wave at her?" and he did. Reagan waved back and blew him kisses. It was priceless.
It was great to see everyone - we all hated that it was under such circumstances, but enjoyed catching up. Reagan and her cousin Evan had a great time playing together too. They are only 7wks apart in age. With their blonde hair and blue eyes, they really do look alike. When we go out together, we often get asked if they're twins.
Reagan enjoying her "Meh-wee" (her great grandmother Mary)

With her Aunt Val (Jason's sister). She kept putting on Val's sunglasses and saying, "Movie Star!"

Reagan & Evan (the twins)

Tummies! They love to show off their bellies to one another.

There was a lot of time in the car, so Reagan got pretty tired of her car seat. But, overall, she was great. We did have to watch "Hairspray!" on the portable dvd player about 300 times, but it kept her happy. We drove from Little Rock to Dallas (5hrs) on Friday, then Dallas to Brownwood (3.5hrs) on Sunday, then Brownwood to Lubbock (3.5hrs) on Monday, then Lubbock to Dallas (5.5hrs) on Wednesday, and Dallas to Little Rock (5hrs) this morning. That's a whole lot of "Hairspray!" So, needless to say, we are all really glad to be out of the car and home.

To all the family and friends we were able to see - We love you guys! It was wonderful to see you and hug all of your necks!

Fun Pics

Here are a few fun pictures from the last few weeks.

On the 4th of July, we went to the Kids' Celebration up at the Clinton Park. Radio Disney was there, and Reagan had a ball dancing to all the fun music. Here is one of our few family shots.
Reagan has rediscovered Baby. She is once again "taking good care of her." She rocks her, sings to her, changes her diaper (or "shooey, shooey"), lays her down for naps, etc.

She put Baby in the high chair, strapped her in, and balanced the tray in front of her.
Since it was time for Reagan to sit in the high chair to eat. She had me get out the Bumbo for Baby to eat in. And, she had to have the tray and have everything to eat that Reagan got. Once lunch was over, she even wiped off Baby's hands and face with a Wipee.
Baby must have fair skin like Reagan because she also needs sunblock.

A few weeks ago, it was our Sunday to work in the nursery at church. Jason attempted to build a fort with all the kiddos. Alexander and Jason would build it up and all the girls (Reagan, Caroline, Alex, & Lola) would knock it all over. It was endless fun for all involved.

Yummy!

Reagan had her first very own ice cream cone this weekend. Well, technically it was frozen custard, but that doesn't have quite the same ring to it. We went to Shakey's with Graeme & Wendy. Thanks, guys! She loved it!

We're not giving up!

We are conquering our fear of the water! We went to the pool again with Rebecca and Alex last week. And, Reagan was great! There were no tears at all. She whimpered just a bit when we first got there, but that was it. She got right in. We even put her in the floatie. She wasn't too excited about that at first - she faught me just a little. But once she was in it, she really liked it. I think it made her feel more secure. She was walking all over the Kiddie Pool in that thing. I got some cute pictures and even a little video. Hope you enjoy!

Notice that she said she was having fun and she was excited! What an improvement?!?!
