Reagan & her Posse

Reagan's friend Caroline, who is 18 days older than her, is about to be a big sister. Her mommy, Elizabeth, is on bed rest right now. So, we're doing our best to make it a party for her . . . as you can tell with the crowd in the picture below. Rebecca and little Alex, Jennifer and little Gracie in utero, and Reagan and I were all keeping her and Caroline company one day last week. Reagan and Caroline love playing together. Like toddlers, they steal toys and fight one minute, then kiss and laugh the next.

Another good friend is Baby Alex, who is 11 months younger than Reagan. And Reagan loves her too. She loves to help take care of her. She keeps everyone quiet while Alex naps, "Shhhh, baby." And, she makes sure she always has toys and company. Little Alex loves to watch Reagan too - she thinks Reagan's such a big girl!

Rose

Meet Rose. Rose works in the Kids' Club at our gym. Reagan loves Rose. Reagan talks about Rose constantly. "Woze, Woze, baby, Woze." She is referring to a baby doll in the Kids' Club that she likes to play with as well. Both are pictured below. When I tell her we are going to the gym and to see Rose, she gets so excited. All I hear the entire drive up there is "Woze, Woze, Woze." With as much as she talks about Rose, I thought she warranted a blog entry.

Reaganese

Reagan is almost 18 months old now, and her vocabulary is growing every day. She may not say everything perfectly, but she is able to get her point across. Some of the things she comes up with make me laugh everytime.
  • She loves animal sounds : cat - "meow, meow" (that's her favorite), dog - "woof", cow - "moo", frog - "weebit", monkey - "hoo hoo", lion - "rawr" in a whisper, penguin - "no, no" (she came up with this one all on her own - that's what the penguins say in one of her books, so she thinks they all say that), etc., etc.
  • Elmo - "Momo" . . . She is crazy about Elmo right now! That's all we hear all day long, "Momo, Momo!"
  • You may have noticed in lots of the pictures lately that Reagan has a pink blanket with flowers all over it. That is "This". Yes, she named her blanket "This".
  • "Messss" - in which she makes a lot. "Oops" usually right before she drops something instead of right after.
  • Food: She loves ravioli - "Lolo", which is now all pastas. Milk - "Mno". Juice - "Joos". Water - "Wawa". Banana - "Nana". And, our personal favorite: Cookie - "Doo doo". No idea where she got this, but that's what she calls it. It's one we will definitely tease her about her entire life.
  • Family members: Jason and I have recently gone from "Mama" and "Dada" to "Mommy" and "Daddy". She's got a "Nana", "Bopz" (Pops), 2 Aunt "LaLa"s (Holly & Alli), Aunt "DeeDee", 2 "Dupata"s (Gammy & Gampy), and she calls herself "RayRay". Our chihuahuas are "Dessss" (Tess) & "Ninny" (Minnie - who was "Mimmy" till about a week ago)

She's got a lot more than this, so I could go on for a while. But, I'll leave it at that.

Easter Egg Hunting!

Aunt Kathy got the little ones some Easter baskets and hid eggs all around the backyard. Reagan had a ball filling her basket!

Is she not a "girly girl"? She's got the basket on her arm like a purse, a flower over her ear, and a snack in her hand!

Family & Friends

We got to see lots of family and friends on our trip. It was great to catch up with everyone.

Cousins!

We just got home from a vacation to see our families. Reagan got to spend some time with her cousins. She is 14 months older than little Payton (my sister Holly's little girl), and 2 months younger than Evan (Jason's brother Bryan's little boy). She had a ball with both of them!!

More Cakes

Here are some of my recent cakes.

Don't look too closely - my roses are pitiful, but I'm working on it.

Just simple flowers and vines.

I thought the basket- weave and rope border turned out really well. The birds were fun to make from color flow icing too.

You can't read it that well from the pic, but it says "GUATEMALA Medical Mission Trip 2008." My friend Rebecca is in charge of a team that is heading off during Spring Break. This was from their t-shirt design.

Snow Again!

I certainly didn't think we'd see snow again so soon. But, sure enough, it started snowing Friday morning and didn't let up all day. It was very serene, just a blanket of white covering everything. The kids in the neighborhood got out and were building snowmen and throwing snowballs. It was very picturesque!
Reagan playing in the snow, but she still wasn't too keen on venturing off the porch.
Minnie in the snow! Reagan had fun just watching her running around in it.

Reagan taking it all in!

Daddy's New Toy

Last weekend, Jason and a guy he works with installed a sprinkler system in our yard. He was like a kid on Christmas morning - he was so excited about this thing. During the test run, when all the sprinkler heads were going, I thought he was going to cry. He just said, "That's beautiful!"

Here he is hard at work!

Here is Reagan playing in the dirt. She's looking for Daddy.

Glad we had a nice weekend for him to get it done last week. I never would have thought we'd have snow on the snow on the ground this weekend!

SNOW!!!

We woke up this morning to find snow on the ground! The first snow of the year for us, and it falls in March. How crazy is that?! Reagan was intrigued by it. She wanted to be out in it, but she was scared to move. She just stood there watching it.

Mother's Day Out was cancelled due to the snow, so Reagan got to run errands with me this morning instead.

I guess I wore her out.
