Reesie Reesie Bo Beesie

Reese had her 9 month check up last week. She's doing great. I was a bit surprised by her percentiles though. She's a healthy girl - you can tell by those thighs. But she has definitely been making her way down on the chart in weight. At 2mos: 90%; 4mos: 75%; 7mos: 55%. Now, she is 30% in weight, 20% in height, and 90% in head circumference. Our little girl has a big noggin.

What a mess!?!? Dressing up like her big sister
It's hard to be this serious with food all over yourselfI love Cheerios!! I laid her down on the blanket, then turned around, and this is what I found. She had rolled herself up in it. Our li'l Reesie Burrito!
Spaghetti! Does it get any better than this? I . . . gotta . . . have . . .some. . . cheerios!!!

Birthday Party & the Zoo

So, I'm a little behind on the blog. I'm going to try to catch up a bit.
Reagan went to Samantha's birthday party earlier this month. It was a pool party, so I was a little nervous. She informed me before we got there that she was not going to get in the water. But, she warmed up a bit after we arrived. She would get in as long as she was glued to my side.
She wasn't quite sure about it at this point,
but at least she was trying to smile.Having fun now!
Reese and I got to go play at the zoo with Iris & Kekoa a few weeks ago too. Gotta love those zoo passes! Reese enjoyed watching Kekoa as much as the animals.

Texas Tour

We just returned home from vacation. It was fast, crazy, tiring, and lots of fun. We got to see so many good friends and family along the way. The main destination of the trip was Kerrville, TX. Jason was talking to the ortho fellas about a job. But, we decided to get the most out of the trip and stop to see lots of loved ones along the way.

Day 1: Little Rock to Dallas - Jason and Kevin toured the new Cowboys Stadium and then we all (Kevin, Keri, Kooper, Koen, Jason, me, Reagan, & Reese) went to a Ranger's baseball game.

Day 2: Dallas to Boerne (via Valley Mills) - We stopped on the way to Boerne to see my sweet, sweet friend Rachael (my best friend from college). We got to eat lunch with her and visit with her precious family. Then we got to have dinner and hang out with Jason's brother, Greg, and his family in Boerne.

Me & my girls with Rachael and her little ones - Hannah is 2 months younger than Reese, and Benjamin is 6 months younger than Reagan.

Reese was intriqued by Hannah (the other baby)

Benjamin & Reagan

Day 3: SeaWorld - We spent the whole day at SeaWorld with Greg, Robin, Callie, Luke, Seth, & Annie. It was hot, but so much fun! Gammy also flew in to join the party.

Uncle Greg feeding Reese her first strawberry. She loved it!!Reagan loved the dolphins . . .from afar. Not so much up close. We fed them, but she was convinced they were going to bite her finger off.Reese sleeping on Aunt RobinReagan's first roller coaster! Daddy, Luke, & she rode the log ride.
Day 4: Boerne to Kerrville - We got to enjoy dinner with another good friend of mine from college, Erik. His wife Jennifer is a photographer and she took our first professional family pictures.

Day 5: Jason spends all day talking to the Ortho guys while Gammy, the girls, & I take it easy. Reagan had several slumber parties with Gammy and she loved it.

Day 6: Kerrville to Fredericksburg & back to Boerne - We dined on German food and visited a friend of Gammy's from Elementary School in Fredericksburg. Then, headed back to Boerne to have dinner with Jason's sister, Val, & her boyfriend.

Day 7: Boerne to Abilene (via San Antonio) - We took Gammy to the airport and saw her off, then headed to Abilene to meet my parents.
Checking out of yet another hotel. We were pros at this by the end of the week.

Day 8: Abilene to Stepheville - We headed back through Stephenville so Jason could talk with the Ortho doc there again.

Day 9: Stephenville to Little Rock (via Dallas) - We stopped and had lunch with friends in Dallas, then FINALLY made it home about 8pm Sunday night.

We are so glad to be home! It was wonderful to see so many people we love, but it sure is nice to be back in my own bed in my own house. Now, it's time to make a decision about where we're headed after residency. God is in control, and we are putting it completely in His hands. We are praying and seeking his guidance. Please pray for us as well - that we will both have a peace about where the Lord is leading us.

"By order of the Princess . . ."

In her new Mulan dress ($4 from a consignment sale!) Showing off her new Jasmine doll (also from the consignment sale)
Yesterday Reagan wanted to tell me a story. "Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a beautiful girl named Reagan. She decided she really wanted green beans for supper. But, her daddy ated them all up. So, she didn't get any. The End."
I didn't get that one on video, but when she decided she wanted to tell me another one, I grabbed the camera. This is a few seconds into story #2. And, it is definitely much longer than the first one. Enjoy!

The Crawling Process

Reese is crawling! Now, it's not your typical "hands and knees - one in front of the other" type of crawl. But, she can make it from point A to point B, so I think it counts. We've been close for a few weeks now, and it has been fun watching the progress. She rolls all over the place and twists all around.

First, she would just stretch as far as she could with her entire body.
Then, she pushed herself backwards with her arms.
Then, she was rocking on her hands and knees.
Now, here is the current method.

Reagan is wearing her new Mulan dress in the video. She is now our Asian princess.

Poor thing: She got trapped under a chair this morning.

Graeme Saves the Day!

Graeme was such a blessing this morning. I have a women's Bible study on Saturday mornings, but Jason was in surgery today and I had no one to watch the girls, so I wasn't going to be able to make it. Rebecca Lee was in the same boat since Chris had a meeting. But, good ole Graeme offered to come to my house to watch Reagan and Alex so Rebecca and I could make it. The Bible study was great, and I'm so thankful for such a thoughtful friend. Graeme and the girls were even joined later by Clay and Gracie. They had a ball!! Graeme has an awesome camera and he took some precious pictures of the girls. I apologize in advance. There are a ton of pictures. But, they were all so good. Enjoy! Thanks again, Graeme!!
