Texas Tour

We just returned home from vacation. It was fast, crazy, tiring, and lots of fun. We got to see so many good friends and family along the way. The main destination of the trip was Kerrville, TX. Jason was talking to the ortho fellas about a job. But, we decided to get the most out of the trip and stop to see lots of loved ones along the way.

Day 1: Little Rock to Dallas - Jason and Kevin toured the new Cowboys Stadium and then we all (Kevin, Keri, Kooper, Koen, Jason, me, Reagan, & Reese) went to a Ranger's baseball game.

Reagan & Kooper on their sugar high after devouring cotton candy around 10pm

Day 2: Dallas to Boerne (via Valley Mills) - We stopped on the way to Boerne to see my sweet, sweet friend Rachael (my best friend from college). We got to eat lunch with her and visit with her precious family. Then we got to have dinner and hang out with Jason's brother, Greg, and his family in Boerne.

Me & my girls with Rachael and her little ones - Hannah is 2 months younger than Reese, and Benjamin is 6 months younger than Reagan.

Reese was intriqued by Hannah (the other baby)

Benjamin & Reagan

Day 3: SeaWorld - We spent the whole day at SeaWorld with Greg, Robin, Callie, Luke, Seth, & Annie. It was hot, but so much fun! Gammy also flew in to join the party.

Uncle Greg feeding Reese her first strawberry. She loved it!!Reagan loved the dolphins . . .from afar. Not so much up close. We fed them, but she was convinced they were going to bite her finger off.Reese sleeping on Aunt RobinReagan's first roller coaster! Daddy, Luke, & she rode the log ride.
Day 4: Boerne to Kerrville - We got to enjoy dinner with another good friend of mine from college, Erik. His wife Jennifer is a photographer and she took our first professional family pictures.

Day 5: Jason spends all day talking to the Ortho guys while Gammy, the girls, & I take it easy. Reagan had several slumber parties with Gammy and she loved it.

Day 6: Kerrville to Fredericksburg & back to Boerne - We dined on German food and visited a friend of Gammy's from Elementary School in Fredericksburg. Then, headed back to Boerne to have dinner with Jason's sister, Val, & her boyfriend.

Day 7: Boerne to Abilene (via San Antonio) - We took Gammy to the airport and saw her off, then headed to Abilene to meet my parents.
Checking out of yet another hotel. We were pros at this by the end of the week.

Day 8: Abilene to Stepheville - We headed back through Stephenville so Jason could talk with the Ortho doc there again.

Day 9: Stephenville to Little Rock (via Dallas) - We stopped and had lunch with friends in Dallas, then FINALLY made it home about 8pm Sunday night.

We are so glad to be home! It was wonderful to see so many people we love, but it sure is nice to be back in my own bed in my own house. Now, it's time to make a decision about where we're headed after residency. God is in control, and we are putting it completely in His hands. We are praying and seeking his guidance. Please pray for us as well - that we will both have a peace about where the Lord is leading us.
