Singing in the Tub

Reagan loves to sing! However, sometimes she gets stuck on a lyric and just repeats it over and over like a broken record. She really does know more verses to songs, I promise. And, boy, does Reese love her big sister. She watches her all the time and just smiles. It's precious!

And, if you noticed, at the end Reagan's asking me what black means. We've been talking about how red means "stop", green means "go", and yellow means "be careful". So she now thinks that all colors must mean something. She asked me what pink means the other day, and I told her, "Breast cancer awareness." Jason thought that might be a little over her head, so he told her it was for "girl", and blue, of course, is for "boy".

Reester Peester Puddin' Pie

When Reese smiles, her tongue always has to get in on the action. Too cute!! Reese and Daddy
Twins?? Lately, everyone seems to think she looks just like him.Reese is always so congested and snorty. She sleeps sitting up in her carrier so she can breathe easier and sleep better.Sleeping peacefully . . .Until big sister wants to climb in bed with her!

Latest Cake

I made a cake last weekend. It was the first one that I've done and decorated since Reagan's birthday last October. I was a little rusty, but I had fun doing it. One of the other ortho wives is pregnant and they do not know what they are having. We had a couples shower for them last weekend.

Jesus Loves Me!

The kids sang in church again this past Sunday. Reagan's class sang "Jesus Loves Me." It was precious!!

They were pretty cute up on that stage. Reagan, Caroline (red dress), & Katie Jo (blue dress) are the Three Amigos.

Smiling & Singing

Here are some cute videos of both of our girls.

Reese has recently discovered how tasty her hands are. She's also started talking to us quite a bit too (Reagan says that she sounds like Baby Jaguar from Diego), but I couldn't catch the talking on video. I did get a cute smile though. Enjoy!

I've had the Jeremy Camp song There Will Be A Day, in my head for weeks now. It's a great song. (Click it to hear it and see the video.) And, I guess I must sing it a lot as well, because Reagan has started singing it too. She asked me to sing No More Tears with her tonight. That little girl loves to sing! In these videos she sings Veggie Tales ("If a squash can make you smile"), There Will Be A Day ("No more tears, No more pain(t)"), and Good Morning Baltimore from Hairspray ("Oh, oh, oh, woke up today, feeling the way...")

I love my girls!!!

Whoa!

Reese has this response just about everytime I try to take her picture. I promise that her eyes are not always this large. She looks so surprised.

RayRay & Reester

Some friends had a Super Bowl Party and we made some goodies. Reagan was such a good helper. Here she is in her apron that Aunt Holly made for Reagan's first Christmas. Too cute! Daddy & Reese watching the Super Bowl. It held her attention well - don't you think? What a big girl!! Already sitting up in her Bumbo!
Gammy & Reese -
Gammy came up to see us and help out after the girls got so sick. It was great to have her here. We all love our Gammy!!
Mommy & Reester. Love those cheeks!

Poor lil' Reesie

Sorry for my absence in the blogging world for the last few weeks. Both of the little ones have been sick. Within days of my last post about Reese's checkup and Reagan's pneumonia, Reese got sick. We took her to the doc last Monday and she was diagnosed with brochiolitis. They were convinced it was RSV, but the test was negative. She was wheezing and her whole chest was working so hard to get a breath. It was hard to see. She got 2 breathing treatments, some x-rays, and we were prescribed an inhaler. That night was pretty rough. We were using the inhaler, but it really wasn't helping. By Tuesday morning, I'd had enough. She was wheezing and coughing. She had such a coughing fit that she threw up, and she still couldn't get a good breath. I took her to the ER about 7am that morning. They had this suction machine that worked wonders on her. Of course it was horrible to watch. They were holding her down as they flushed saline up one nostril while they had a suction tube up the other. But, it worked. The respiratory therapist used the comparison of a dust buster (our measly bulb syringe) to a shop vac (his monster suction). So, we decided we needed a shop vac. I went by medical supply store and rented one that afternoon. We've been suctioning her multiple times a day since. And, she's doing much better now. So, needless to say, the sick girls have been keeping me pretty busy.

Here's little Reese in the contraption they used to get her x-rays. Isn't that crazy?

And here she is this morning - feeling muuuuuuuuuuuuch better
