Remembering Reagan's First Moments

With little Reese's arrival getting closer, we've been thinking back to the day that Reagan was born. She was breech, and her little tushie was wedged tightly into my pelvis, so she arrived via c-section. She came out screaming. I remember just smiling as I listened to her - thinking how healthy she sounded. Then, the doctors and nurses started laughing. "Don't they all come out screaming?" I asked. "Yeah, but not like that," one responded. A glimpse of what was to come. She didn't stop screaming for quite some time. My mom took this video as a nurse was giving her her first bath.

This sound was quite commonplace around our house the first few months. It's not a lot different now, only instead of screaming and crying, it's nonstop talking. As any of you know that have been around Reagan for long, she is a talker. She likes to narrate what she is doing, what you are doing, what she is thinking about, etc. It never stops, but I love it! I wouldn't have it any other way.

We're looking forward to seeing how different or similar Reese will be to her big sister.

i do remember reagan's screams and how we all took turns bouncing her everywhere we went. we'll do it all over again for reese if needed. :)

Props to Layla! I still don't know how you handled those difficult months. You were so patient and loving and seemed to never get frustrated. If it had been me, I probably would have just cried along w/ Reagan!ha You're such a WONDERFUL mother.
